I like you too. [Xingchen tucks his head under his wing bashfully, his tail feathers wiggling.]
Ah...distracting? [He tilts his head and nibbles on Runyu's fingers. Gently.] He said he wanted to keep me safe! The wind is rough in Winter when you're this size.
[ Yes, yes he is! Runyu smiles softly at the cooing, happy to keep stroking those feathers since Xingchen clearly enjoys the attention. His smile fades to concern and he holds the delicate little bird close. ]
But you found him, and now he knows that you are still with him.
I don't- [ he's interrupted as the magic reverses, leaving him with a lapful of Xiao Xingchen! His cheeks pink a little, but Runyu only wraps his arms around the other's waist to make sure he's supported and, hopefully, comfortable. ]
[Pinking with embarrassment, Xingchen is about to shift out of Runyu's lap when he is...welcomed? Supported? He looks up and catches Runyu's gaze, smiling shyly.]
[ His hold is loose enough that Xingchen could easily slip free if he so wishes, but warm enough to let the other man know he doesn't need to move. Runyu dares to rest their foreheads together as he holds the sweet, handsome man. ]
[He doesn't want to move. Runyu feels safe and warm. Xingchen grins into the contact and slips his arms around his A-Yu's shoulders. It feels good just to hold him.]
[ He doesn't need to! Runyu treasures the contact and holds Xingchen closer as his eyes close. Peace settles over him and he chuckles at the silly words. ]
Birds are usually quite light, so they may fly easily. You are still light, A-Chen.
[ Xingchen is so warm, Runyu can't help but be drawn to him. The fingers in his hair have him shiver and he flushes shyly. But only tightens his hold a little, welcoming anything Xingchen wants from him. He smiles at the promise. ]
[What he wants...ah. It feels dangerous to say. He doesn't want to hurt Xue Yang, yet there has been...room in their hearts and their beds...for one more. Especially since Zichen left. Xingchen holds onto Runyu tighter as he thinks over what to say.
[ Xingchen could do anything, and Runyu would accept it without comment. But he loves how those arms tighten around him. Loves just being held. He chuckles quietly at the cute fussing. ]
[Runyu deserves to be treated with love and respect. Xingchen will not do less for him! He kisses his A-Yu's shoulder and tucks him close, his eyes half-closed.]
