[Runyu is missing and that won't do. After putting away his flower crowns, Xingchen begins to search for his favorite dragon. He flies on his sword to cover more distance, his worry increasing the more time passes.

So he eventually sends A-Yu a text:]

Are you safe, A-Yu? I want to find you.

[ Ever since he'd learned what some of the flowers do, he's been doing his very best to find all those that contain his memories - in the hope to spare others the horrible sight.

And avoiding his precious ones, not wanting to inflict his fears on them. But Xingchen calls him on it, and his heart lurches, aching to curl into those warm arms. ]

I'm safe, A-Chen. I'm not good company right now.

[gentledawn]

I don't care. We don't have to talk. I just want to see you and look after you.

[The memories contained in the blooms know no mercy. He had seen a young Xue Yang struggling to just stay alive on the streets. And now...

What memories might he see of his A-Yu? Not that it matters. He isn't afraid to see the worst and bring his dragon home nonetheless.]

[ 'I don't care.' He reads those words a few times, tucking them in close around his heart.

This is what had drawn him to Xiao Xingchen.

So he hesitantly stands and appears below where he knows the man to be. ]

Below you.

[ He knows he looks rough. His normally perfect composure replaced with hair in disarray, paler than usual, and more than a hint of heartache in his eyes. ]

[gentledawn]

[Below...? Xingchen takes a sharp dive and he gracefully makes his way to Runyu. Jumping off of his sword, he has the dragon wrapped in his arms from one breath to the next.]

A-Yu, it's alright. I'm here. [He kisses down the side of the poor dragon's face and smooths back his hair.] Whatever has happened, we can face it.

[ Arms curl protectively around him and he sighs, curling into them. Huddling, really, in the warmth Xingchen offers him selflessly. The kisses help warm him and his eyes flutter closed as he focuses on breathing. ]

I told you the worst of it. I only wish you never to have to see them yourself. You deserve only the best of me.

[gentledawn]

Hush. I have the best of you and more besides. [Xingchen rubs over Runyu's back and lets out a relieved breath.] I thought I lost you. I was going to look in every season until I found you.

[But thankfully, Runyu had reached out.]

I don't want you seeing my memories either, but if it happens, I know you won't think poorly of me. Why would I think poorly of you?

[nightimmortal]

[ He rests their heads together, holding onto this precious man as he's reminded how he could love again. Xingchen was going to keep looking for him until he found him. ]

You won't lose me, A-Chen. You found me.

[ It's his turn, then, to kiss over the other's sweet face. ]

I could never think poorly of you.

[gentledawn]

[When he had come home to an empty apartment and no sign of Runyu anywhere, he had immediately begun his search. Now he can't stop nuzzling and kissing the other man, smiling when their heads touch.]

Thank you, A-Yu.

[He laughs softly and chases Runyu's lips in order to give him a shy kiss.]

Nor I of you. A-Yang is the same. We love you. Please come home.

[ After so long without affection and love, he's hungry for both! But he's also learned not to force either - to do so ends badly for all.

The kisses sooth his heart and spirit and he relaxes enough to return the sweet, shy kiss that warms him. ]

Alright. Let's go home. Is A-Yang waiting?

[gentledawn]

He won't be long. [Xingchen tugs Runyu onto Shuanghua - though he knows his dragon can travel easily without his assistance. Still, this way, he can snuggle Runyu all the way back to their snug home!]

Are you cold, A-Yu? I'll draw a bath for you if you like.

[nightimmortal]

[ Assured their third will be with them soon, Runyu let's himself be tugged onto Xingchen's gorgeous sword. The reason is obvious, and he curls into those warm arms. Greedy, eager for the easy love and affection Xingchen offers him. ]

The tub is big enough for the three of us to share.

[gentledawn]

[Xingchen tucks Runyu against him as the sword lifts off of the ground. He continues to kiss and caress his dragon until Shuanghua lands again.]

Mm you're right. A-Yang has never said no to a nice hot bath.

[He steps off of the blade and holds out a hand to Runyu.]

[ Each kiss is answered and he responds to the sweet touches he's given. He even finds a smile returning to his lips!

Taking the hand, he steps off Shuanghua, bowing warmly to the handsome blade. Then steps close to his sweet Xingchen. ]

What scents should we use today?

[gentledawn]

[Shuanghua makes a soft sound and Xingchen giggles. He squeezes Runyu's hand as the blade sheathes itself against his back.]

I recently purchased sandalwood and orange blossom. What do you think of that?

[nightimmortal]

[ He smiles at the sweet blade, and how Xingchen giggles. Threading their fingers together, he walks beside his lover. ]

That sounds perfect.

[gentledawn]

You made Shuanghua feel bashful. [Xingchen whispers conspiratorially once they are inside.] He thinks you're handsome too.

[After setting Shuanghua by the door, he leads Runyu to the bathroom.]
